One of the things that make California such an amazing place to live is the diversity. Most know or have heard of our beautiful beaches but we also have beautifulmountains. Here is some information on Sno-Parks in Northern California for winter time family fun.
For more information including how to purchase permits visit the Sno-Parks website. Because our snow pack varies from year to year, I would suggest you visit their website and double check on the snow conditions before you head out.
Enjoy!

Hello DeeDee, I always found it rather ironic that when working Northstar @ Tahoe I would be heading to San Francisco Bodega Bay for my weekend get a ways when everyone was coming the opposite direction toward Lake Tahoe. There is oh so much to do...you are absolutely correct. Mark
We do not have snow parks here. Every park is full of snow right now. Way too much the last two years.
I hope that we can get more snow to fill these parks DeeDee. :)
DeeDee Riley - You are right about how diverse California is, and how quickly those changes can happen. In just a couple of hours you can go from sunny and no sweater to needing a snow jacket! Great post!
Dee Dee, I am sure that it is nice to get away from the sunny beaches once in a while to enjoy a little winter fun, nice of you to show folks where to find the best places.
Hi, Deedee! This information about California's winter recreation is good to know. Thank you for keeping us posted!
