Scam artists are getting trickier and trickier. I receive phishing emails periodically and some are very believable! I recently received this Phishing (Scam) Alert from a lender friend at Safe Credit Union and wanted to share the warning.
Following is an example letter.
I get so many emails and because of all the scams out there have begun to really think about them when:
* It looks to good to be true.
* The sender is unfamiliar and wants me to click on a link.
* The sender is familiar but what they are asking is out of the norm or out of character for that person.
If the sender is familiar you can always pick up the phone or email them on a separate email and ask if they indeed sent it.
