Folsom Lake Spillway - May 2012

Folsom Lake Spillway - May 2012

Their starting to let water out of the dam.  Last year we go so much snow in the mountains that all of the spillways were flowing like the one here.  Before the road in front was built we drove on a little two lane road that is up at the top of the spillway.

Dee Dee, hope this doesn't mean you will have water restrictions later on this summer!  Flowing water is awesome power!  Nice shot!

DeeDee, you are lucky to have water run off this year!    We started having really warm early, and our snow pack is low.

Does this mean a shortage of water DeeDee? It looks like only one lane is running with water.

DeeDee - cool photo and it must be an awesome site when water is coming from all the lanes. This weather is so unpredictable - last year we  had snow from Dec thru March. This past winter we only had one major snow storm in October which has never happened!

I hope the Folsom Lake Spillway flows freely from the runoff of winters snow pack.  If you have any of that water to spare we could sure use some here in the high desert.  I bet that old road was fun to drive on.

DeeDee, I am curious where does the water flow into... underground drainage?

DeeDee Driving on top of the spillway would not have done much for my morale
